A different kind of gym

Personal training without the intimidating gym bit.

LukeMurray.Fit is a small coaching gym in Bognor Regis. Our core service is Small Group Personal Training. Proper coaching, built around getting stronger and feeling comfortable in the gym, not around weight-loss promises or before-and-after photos.

Many of the people who train here wouldn't describe themselves as typical “gym people”. Some haven't exercised in years. Some have never lifted a weight. That's exactly who we work with.

Small Group Personal Training

Each session is 45 minutes and capped at six people. They're primarily strength based, and you're coached throughout, not handed a plan and left to get on with it.

Importantly, this isn't six people being put through the exact same workout. Your coach adapts the exercises to you. Your ability, your experience and anything you're working around. So you're always training at the right level for you, alongside a small group of others doing the same.

If you've never lifted weights, haven't trained in a long time, or feel nervous about walking into a gym, you're in good company. You won't be expected to keep up with anyone else, and you won't be left to figure it out on your own.

Who it's for

LukeMurray.Fit is for people who want to get stronger, feel more confident and look after themselves, without feeling like they need to become a “gym person” first.

Many of our members come to us in midlife, often having spent years putting everyone else first. Some are navigating menopause, some are returning to exercise after a long break, and some are starting strength training for the very first time.

New to strength training

You've never really lifted weights, and you'd like to learn properly from the start.

Returning after a long break

It's been a while, and you'd like to get back into it without feeling like you've missed years.

Not a conventional gym person

Big, busy gyms aren't your thing. You'd rather train somewhere small where you're known.

Want coaching, not just access

You'd like guidance and support rather than a card that lets you walk through the door.

Want to get stronger & more capable

You're interested in building strength and feeling more capable, whatever your starting point.

Value knowing who you train with

You'd like to recognise the faces around you, not train in a room full of strangers.

Luke Murray

Owner & Personal Trainer

I started LukeMurray.Fit because I felt there were a lot of people who simply weren’t being catered for by the traditional fitness industry, especially women going through peri-menopause and menopause.

I wanted to create somewhere that felt welcoming rather than intimidating, where people could get proper coaching, learn to become stronger and feel comfortable even if they’d never really seen themselves as a ‘gym person’. Just as importantly, I wanted it to be a safe, supportive community where people could feel like they belonged, get to know the people around them and not feel like they were doing it all on their own.

Amy Kale, Nutrition Coach at LukeMurray.Fit

Amy Kale

Nutrition Coach

Amy supports LukeMurray.Fit members with the nutrition side of things, helping them build habits that are realistic enough to actually fit into everyday life.

Her approach isn’t about meal plans, cutting everything out or trying to eat perfectly. It’s about understanding what someone is struggling with, making small practical changes and helping those changes become part of normal life. Alongside the training, Amy gives members another layer of support so nutrition feels manageable rather than like another thing they’re getting wrong.

More than the training session

Small Group Personal Training is the core of what we do — but there's more to being part of LukeMurray.Fit than the 45 minutes you spend training.

Yoga

A calmer, slower session to complement your strength training.

Breathwork & meditation

Sessions to help you switch off, breathe and recover.

Nutrition support

Habit-based guidance from Amy, alongside your training.

Workshops

Occasional sessions diving deeper into a specific topic.

Community activities & events

Things happening outside the gym, with the people you train with.

These extras run alongside training and can change with the seasons. We'll always let you know what's coming up.

The gym

Exterior frontage and entrance of the LukeMurray.Fit gym at 50 Aldwick Road, Bognor Regis

Based in Bognor Regis, West Sussex.

A small, personal training environment. Not a large commercial gym.

No dedicated customer car park, but free parking is available on nearby streets.

It's intentionally small and personal. You won't find rows of treadmills or hundreds of members passing through. Just a focused space to train with a coach and a small group.

How starting works

No pressure, no funnel. Just a conversation, and we take it from there.

1

Start with a conversation

Message Luke to begin. There's no automatic sales phone call just because you get in touch. A phone call only happens if you ask for one.

2

We listen

Luke learns what you're looking for, answers your questions and gets a sense of whether LukeMurray.Fit feels right for you.

3

Work out the next step

If it feels like a good fit, you'll talk through the right next step together.

4

Your first session

Once you're ready to start, you'll join your first Small Group PT session. We'll coach you through everything, adapt exercises where needed and make sure you know what you're doing from the start.
